Let me tell you the best places to go if you want to go Curvy shopping London!
Finally I got a change to visit a few shops and try on different items to check the sizing and the fit. Unfortunately the shops aren’t located in one area so I wasn’t able to visit all of them. You see, now I have to go again in order to visit those other shops. Traveling in London is easy, the tube takes you anywhere.
Some great advise: do what I did and leave your man at home! No matter how sweet he is or loves to shop, this is a girls thing! Go with friends, no matter their size because most shops mentioned are for all sizes, regular as well as plus sizes.
Here is a list of shops and addresses you could go to:
Next ♥ this retailer can be found on many places. Easiest is to go to their shop in Oxford street. The regular collection goes up to a size 22, which is EU 50. Next to women’s wear they also sell mens and kids. Read my experience here.
Forever 21 ♥ this is my favorite shop! The regular collection is huge but the sizes aren’t. Luckily they also have a plus size division. Unfortunately the shop in Oxford street doesn’t sell the plus collection, however you can go to Westfield Stratford City, easy acces from the tube.
SimplyBe ♥ this shop is in Oxford street as well and sells size 14 up to size 32, so this is one of the few plus size only shops I have mentioned here.
M&S ♥ Marks & Spencer are everywhere! This retailer sells food, as in groceries but also has plenty of shops for men, women and kids. Their regular collection goes up to a size 22 and the plus collection goes up to size UK 28 (EU size 60).
New Look Inspire ♥ another one of my favorite shops to go, since they have a huge shoe department as well. The shop in Oxford street has the regular collection as well as the plus size division called Inspire. However you can find a bigger shop -with more shoes- in the Stradford shopping mall too.
Duo Boots ♥ sigh… this was my main goal but I didn’t manage to stop by unfortunately. At the Duo Boots store you can have your legs and feet measured up for the right size and you can try the shoes and boots. You can’t get them with you, they’ll send it to your home address instead, directly from the warehouse. I would have loved it to go, but perhaps the next trip!
shopaholic! Now I have just mentioned all the plus size shops, or shops with size diversity. Of course there is lots more to shop! Think about shoe shops or accessories, but also other boutiques. If you have other shops, please send me a message and I will add it to the list.
My route? First go to Westfield Stratford City by tube. Depending where you are this can take quit a while but it’s worth it. They’re open on Sundays as well. This great for any kind of shopping and you can find the plus size departments of Forever21, New Look, Next, M&S and H&M. Besides these they have loads of other shops to look around. Take the next day for Oxford street and other directions.
tip: if you are an online shopper then do some homework! The prices in pounds are more expensive compared to our euro.. So perhaps after shopping you might want to order it online as it’s quit a big difference
