palm trees & polka dots

Right before my holiday I started packing and realised I didn’t have any cute holiday dresses! Well, besides the ones I always wear for year. Some last minute shopping it was

You might not believe me, I know I have a lot of clothes but at the end of the day I always wear the same ones. Most of the summer dresses I love to wear are those I have for a few years already. Time for some new additions to my wardrobe, among them this cute dress and new purse. It was love at first I tell you. Right before we went out for dinner the sun was setting and the lighting was magic. The perfect moment to capture my evening outfit.

When I spotted this dress online I knew I wanted to have it. This is ‘my’ shape and I also love to wear strapless in summer when it’s really hot. It does take me a little courage because of my big upper rms. I always tell myself that if I find them fat -which I shouldn’t be thinking at first- then they will look fat covered up as well. So I might enjoy whatever I wear right? The polka dot print is a real trend and I can’t get enough of it. It’s so cute, goes with everything and is a classic. The yellow colour was the only thing holding me back because I thought I was too pale. But I guess this is the right tone to go with every skin tone, yay!

It doesn’t happen often that I’m praying the dress i’ve ordered fits me. Just a couple of days before we left on vacation I ordered a parcel online and to be sure I ordered double sizes. This dress was one of them, I ordered it in UK18 and UK20 which should fit like a EU46 and 48. Normally I wear a size 20 or even 22 but since it’s strapless I took the risk of ordering one size down. And I was right, the size 20 fell off my chest and I really needed the size 18. The total fit is a bit short, but this is always the case with this brand. Underneath I always wear short leggings.
