Change of season, a new coat of jacquard & faux fur

Slowly the weather is changing, the leafs are falling of the trees and the colours of summer change into autumn. Here in Holland it’s Fall now and it’s one of the charming times of the year. Colder weather means changing looks, in this case a new coat. This time it’s a jacquard woven coat with beautiful faux fur detail.

Often I go for the ‘always okay’ coat but what is that exactly? A black, simple coat. Which ends up on the wardrobe because there are so many nicer options. This coat is one of those, made of a rich jacquard. The pattern is woven from a wine red and deep dark blue. On the collar is a detachable faux fur collar in deep red tones, perfect to snuggle up.

Autumn paints in colours that summer has never seen

For every figure there is a coat but sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone and just try other options. This is what I did with this coat as I assumed it wouldn’t fit me due to the straight style. And guess what, it fitted me just fine, happy me! So if you’d like to have more inspiration, go and check out the coat guide of MS Mode.

Positive surprising, this coat because of its straight fit. On the top I usually wear 1-2 sizes smaller but still it fitted me well. The faux fur collar is really a thing for this season, and is also detachable. Here I’m wearing the coat combined with a dress but it’s also fun with a pair of jeans, to keep it casual. The coat is a size 48 which is a UK20. The blouse and dress are both a size EU 48 as well. I’ve paired the dress with a waist belt.
