Fashionable when the sun is out with a faux uni stripe
The sun is shining, the temperatures are rising so it’s time to take out those summer items. One thing that can’t be missing in your wardrobe this season, is a faux uni stripe. Fine, narrow stripes in pastel colours combined with whites. When you look briefly they almost look solid colour, but it does have a stripe. All sorts of stripes are fashion this season, from bold bright ones to pastel and soft ones.
This top is light blue combined with white and made of cotton, it’s very soft and light but doesn’t shine through. It does crinkle a bit but that doesn’t bother me, it’s the characteristic of such fabrics. I love the Carmen necklines, or off shoulder as they call it. It doesn’t always stays in place though, luckily this ones does. The elastic of the collar is very soft and yet firm, it doesn’t slide of the shoulders.

The sleeves are a bit loose and the ends can be knotted together, a detail I really love. The button stand is fake unfortunately, I’d rather saw it open so I could knot this one as well. In stead I just tucked in the front of the blouse inside my jeans. I’m wearing a size UK20 which fits me like a EU 46-48. There is no stretch in it and the length of the blouse is halfway the hips, at least on me.
I’ve showed you these jeans earlier this year in a different outfit post. By now it’s a bit on the wide fit for me but I still love to wear them, as they are so comfortable. They’re made of a super stretchy denim material and I love the light colour, it’s perfect for spring. The fit of these jeans are called ‘Darcy’ which really suits me. When you shop at Dorothy Perkins make sure to check this fit, it’s a mid rise and has a nice fitted shape on the calves.
These plateau sandals I bought a while ago already on sale. Because of the hight of the sole you don’t really feel that these are high heels, they’re actually quite comfortable. I love such shoes underneath a pair of jeans, to combine casual with girly pastel. Though when pairing these with a skirt it looks all dress up, all depends on the combinations you make. The brand New Look sells wide fit shoes as well by the way, for those with wider feet.
