Flashback to the 1970s with these bootcut jeans
The bell bottom jeans with the super flared bottom were in fashion in the 1970’s and they’re back. I am wearing a slightly less flared one, so it’s more a bootcut jeans. I love the 70’s so I wanted to show an outfit which is fashion and shows that a plus size woman can also participate in trends. Check out my outfit.
In the past I wouldn’t wear a lot of jeans as I just never found good fitting ones. These jeans do, they are fitted but are still very comfortable because of the cotton stretch material. I love how they are fitted on the top part and start to get wider at the knees, making it a perfect bootcut jeans. The shoes I wear with these jeans are these high platform sandals, as the jeans are actually too long for me. Adding a pair of heels to such a casual countryside outfit makes me feel a little more feminine.
This romantic white cotton blouse is very suitable with the 1970s look. The wide fit covers all that you don’t want to show, but the elasticated bottom hem makes that it doesn’t look like a tent. I often have that little muffin top with jeans so I love a wider fitted blouse or top. The neckline is very cute with the lace inserted tapes and buttons, it also shows some cleavage when leaving them open. I wear a cotton vest underneath it to avoid shining through as it’s a light weight fabric. This blouse is perfect for those hot summer days.
To complete the outfit I am wearing a (fake) suede bag with tassels from. Each year I’m surprised to see the tassels coming back, I guess its a real boho summer thing. I am wearing a hat for thats sharp sun in eyes as I’m kind of addicted to hat and caps. I love to combine them with my outfits and I also love wearing them. I’ve added a flower to match it to my outfit which is a clip on brooche actually. Woodstock here I come. The platform sandals are actually very comfortable, I can easily walk on them even if they are so high!
